The Cambodian government has refused to send Thaksin Shinawatra, the ex-President of Thailand, back to Bangkok where the Thai government want to put him in prison. Mr Shinawatra was removed from power in 2006 by the Thai army. He then left the country, and while he was out of Thailand he was told to go to prison for two years.
He has now returned to Asia to work for the Cambodian government, and the Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen has said clearly that he won't send Mr Shinawatra back to Thailand. Mr Sen told a press conference that Mr Shinawatra is a "political victim".
The Thai prime minister, Abhisit Vejjajiva, says that he will ask again for Mr Shinawatra to be returned to Thailand, and he also says that he will stop working with Cambodia to try and find energy under the sea, and that he will make it more difficult to travel across the border between Thailand and its neighbour.
Relations between Cambodia and Thailand have often been difficult, and soldiers from both sides have been killed in fighting. Generals from the two countries are now talking to each other to try and stop a war between the two countries.
